Serenely situated high atop one of Worcester’s Seven Hills, Seabury Heights provides spacious apartment living with a panoramic view of Worcester County. Two nine-story buildings located in the city, provide quiet country living. Seabury Heights consists of 302 apartments nestled next to Bell Pond.
Conveniently located and easy access to all major highways in central Massachusetts. In the area, you will find the DCU Center, a popular event venue, and Union Station terminals are also located nearby. The Worcester Art Museum and Higgins Armory Museum also are easily accessible from Seabury Heights.
The location puts you less than a mile from major hospitals, including UMass Hospital, Memorial Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Seabury Heights’ residents enjoy a high quality of life, which include a variety of social events specifically planned by the onsite Resident Services Coordinator. The site is within walking distance or a short bus ride to “Restaurant Row” on Shrewsbury Street.
Seabury Heights maintains several community partnerships, including a monthly craft project with our elderly residents and elementary students of Belmont Street School, the Worcester Police sponsored Neighborhood Crime Watch and monthly Blood Pressure Screening Clinics provided by UMass Memorial nurses.

What type of housing is Seabury Heights? Is it low income housing?
Yes. Seabury Heights is a subsidized housing community for seniors age of 62 & over and individuals with disabilities. There are two programs available to residents, Section 8 and Tax Credit, depending on income.
Who pays the remainder of rent?
The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy. If a resident qualifies for a subsidy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency, will pay the remainder of the rent.
What does the rent include?
The rent includes heat and hot water. Residents’ are responsible for their own electricity.
Is there a lease?
Yes, there is a one-year lease. After one year the lease automatically becomes month to month. Residents are then required to give management a thirty day notice to vacate their unit.
How many apartments are there?
Seabury Heights has 302 apartments.
How big are the apartments?
One bedroom apartments are 500 square feet; two bedroom apartments are 800 square feet.
How do I get started with the move-in process?
Simply fill out an application completely, sign it and mail it to the address on the back of the application.
Is there a waiting list for residency?
Yes, currently Seabury Heights has a waiting list. Please call for the approximate waiting time.
What is the Security Deposit?
Yes. The security deposit is equal to one month’s rent.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Seabury Heights welcomes you to bring your small pet along with you. There is a limit of one animal per apartment and dogs can not to exceed 25 pounds.
What is the Pet Deposit?
The refundable pet deposit is $150. Payment arrangements can be made for this deposit. Beginning with $50 and then a monthly payment of $10 until the deposit is paid in full.
Is there additional storage space available?
There is no additional storage available, however, each apartment offers some storage space.
Is there an elevator?
Yes, there are 2 elevators in each building.
Is parking available?
Yes there are resident only spaces as well as visitor spaces.
Are there any activities for the elderly?
Yes. Seabury Heights’ has a full time Resident Security Coordinator on staff. The RSC has many planned activities.
Are there on-site laundry facilities?
Yes, each building has a laundry room on the first floor.
