Rommel Jimenea

In 1985, Rommel joined RHF as a Maintenance Mechanic. After a brief hiatus to establish his own HVAC repair business, he returned to RHF in 1995 to assume the role of Chief Engineer at Angelus Plaza. Throughout his tenure, Rommel implemented cost-saving measures, particularly in energy efficiency, which significantly reduced Angelus Plaza’s annual operating costs.
His proactive approach and professional relationships with utility agencies facilitated the implementation of various energy-saving programs. Under his guidance, Angelus Plaza underwent extensive retrofitting, from LED lighting fixtures to energy-efficient appliances and heating systems, all at no out-of-pocket cost.
Despite initial plans for retirement in March, Rommel’s expertise and commitment led him to continue part-time, supporting the onboarding of a new Chief Engineer at Angelus Plaza and providing technical assistance to other RHF communities at the request of Stuart Hartman. His wealth of experience in building operations and maintenance remains a valuable asset to the RHF.
