Parmly Lakeview Apartments provide maintenance-free, independent living for adults over age 62 and for young adults with a mobility impairment needing the features of a handicapped accessible apartment. This HUD-subsidized apartment building offers one- and two-bedroom apartments. Two-bedroom apartments require a two-person household. Garden plots are available. In addition to church services and an exercise program, transportation, health care services, and grocery delivery are available.

What type of housing is Parmly Lakeview Apartments? Is it low income housing?
Parmly Lakeview Apartments is a subsidized housing community for seniors age 62 and older . The term “subsidized housing” means that the rent is based on income. A resident of the community pays approximately 30% of their net income as rent.
Who pays the remainder of rent?
The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy. If a resident qualifies for a subsidy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency, will pay the remainder of the rent.
How is rent calculated?
Resident rent is based on approximately 30% of income. A good estimate of your rent would be to take 30% of your net annual income and divide it by 12 months. This will give you an estimate of what your monthly rent could be.
What does the rent include?
Monthly rental of the apartment, as well as heat, water, and an electric allowance. An electric allowance is a certain amount taken off of the resident’s rent payment meant to help the resident pay the electric bill. The allowance amount is based on average usage for the apartment and may change annually. Residents will still receive an electric bill, but the allowance is intended to help pay for it. Residents may still be eligible for energy assistance from the state.
Is there a lease?
Yes, there is a one-year lease, but we understand the necessity of unanticipated move-outs.

How big are the apartments?
Parmly Lakeview Apartments offers spacious one-bedroom apartments, nine-accessible apartments, as well as one two-bedroom accessible apartment for the mobility impaired. For square footage, one-bedroom apartments and accessible apartments are approximately 590 square feet and the two-bedroom is approximately 1,200 square feet.
How do I get started with the move in process?
Simply fill out an application completely, sign it and mail it to the address on the application.

What is the Security Deposit?
The Security Deposit is the same as one month’s full rent (before the electric allowance) with a minimum of $50. This deposit is due in full at the signing of the lease.
Do you allow pets?
Parmly Lakeview Apartments welcomes you to bring your pets along with you. Fish and birds are welcome without a deposit. We also welcome small dogs and cats with a pet deposit. There is a limit of one animal (cat or dog) per apartment and there are certain size and breed restrictions.
What is the Pet Deposit?
The pet deposit is $300. We can make payment arrangements for this deposit. Beginning with $50 and then a monthly payment of $10 until the deposit is paid in full.
Is there additional storage space available?
There is no additional storage available.
Is there an elevator?
Yes, there is one elevator located in the front of the building easily accessible by all residents, on all floors.
Is parking available?
Yes, Parmly Lakeview Apartments does have a large parking lot.
What is the cost for parking?
There is no cost for parking.
How many keys do I receive?
Residents receive an exterior door key, an apartment key, and a key to a locked mailbox for their apartment.
Are there any planned activities?
Parmly Lakeview Apartments prints a monthly calendar showing the dates and times of various activities. Monthly activities include bingo, cards games, board games, potluck meals, and gardening.
Are there on-site laundry facilities?
There are two laundry rooms at Parmly Lakeview Apartments located on the 1st floor and 2nd floor. Each floor contains two coin operated washers and two coin operated dryers with folding and hanging areas and a wash sink for the convenience of our residents.
What is the garbage/recycling process?
There is trash dumpster and recycling bins located on the east side of the building.
