Normandie Terrace

Completed in October 2012, Normandie Terrace is a 66-unit family community with one, two, and three, bedroom floor plans.

The building is certified LEED Gold and features multiple eco-friendly components including the use of drought-tolerant plants and a high-efficiency irrigation system for landscaping. All of the units feature formaldehyde-free kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, hardwood flooring, Energy Star kitchen appliances, low flow toilets, and sinks as well as high-efficiency low-E vinyl windows.

The building also includes courtyards, terraces, patios, a lobby, on-site laundry, community/computer room, manager’s office, subterranean parking, and generous pedestrian circulation.

One level of parking is provided under the building for a total of 71 parking spaces.

What type of housing is Normandie Terrace Apartments? Is it low-income housing?

Normandie Terrace Apartments is a multi-family, tax credit community. A specific maximum monthly rent may be charged for the apartment, which amount is subject to annual adjustment based upon median incomes as determined by HUD. Each apartment at the property must be leased to “Qualified Households” as defined by Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. Qualified Households must meet certain income limitations.

Do tenants pay utilities?

Yes, tenants are responsible to pay for their utilities, electricity, cable/internet, and phone services. Ownership pays for all other utilities trash and water/sewer.

Do the apartments include appliances, if yes, what is provided?

Each apartment includes an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal.

Is there a lease?

Yes, there is a one-year lease.

Yes, Normandie Terrace Apartments offers its residents the use of one parking space, with additional on-street parking.

There is no cost for parking.

How many keys do I receive?

Residents receive an apartment key, a key to a locked mailbox for their apartment, and an access key to the main entry. Our main entrances are intercom controlled and automatically open with the key.

Are there on-site laundry facilities?

Normandie Terrace Apartments is equipped with one laundry facility located on the 1st floor. It contains six coin-operated washers and six coin-operated dryers with a folding table for the convenience of our residents.

What is the garbage/recycling process?

Each floor is provided with a trash chute to dispose of trash directly into a dumpster. We also have a recycling center located on the 1st floor to dispose of any cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, glass, and aluminum cans.

Is there any public transportation available?

Yes, the City of Los Angeles offers transit services, which include Metro bus, rail, and Amtrak.
