Partnering with RHF
Retirement Housing Foundation has built its portfolio of communities through acquisition, working with civic and community groups, and with local, state, and federal governments to build communities for older adults, people with various types of disabilities, and low-income families.
RHF is committed to reducing energy usage in our communities. For our existing communities that might include installing energy-efficient appliances or working with local utility suppliers on other ways to reduce our carbon footprint. When constructing new communities that may include applying for LEED certification. For more information on LEED for Homes and the USGBC see http://www.usgbc.org/leed
RHF recently completed the building of a tax credit affordable family community in South Central Los Angeles. Amenities for this 59-unit community include a family BBQ area, tot lot, half basketball court, computer lab, and media room. Watch this community get built from the ground up and see footage from the subsequent celebration for its grand opening in this short, time-lapse video of its construction.

Listen to how we partnered with Congregational Church of Chula Vista to ensure that their community would have much needed rehab work done and ensure that it would remain affordable for low-income seniors for the next 55+ years.
