What safety/security features are offered?
Outside doors are locked at all times. Access to the building is obtained only by a resident’s key or by being buzzed in through the call box. Strategically placed cameras are monitored through a central system and there is a security person on duty, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each apartment opens onto an indoor corridor and can be unlocked only by the tenant’s key or by the management. In addition, the building is equipped with emergency pull cords and there is one in each apartment’s bathroom in case you need help.
Do you take Section 8 Vouchers?
Yes. If the resident has a Section 8 Voucher HUD determines, according to the income of the tenant, what portion of the rent HUD pays and what portion the tenant pays. Otherwise, the tenant pays full rent.
How does a person get a Section 8 Voucher?
Section 8 Vouchers are issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). They are for life, provided the recipient complies with the HUD regulations, and can be transferred to any place in the United States.
