Anaheim Memorial Manor is an affordable, older adult (62+) community with eight apartments equipped to accommodate those who are mobility impaired (available to those over the age of 18).
Our community is across the street from City Hall and the Senior Center. Various shops, a park, a post office, banks, churches, restaurants, a library, and a supermarket are all within walking distance. Medical facilities are just a few minutes away, along with Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, the Anaheim Pond, Angel’s Stadium, and many other southern California tourist attractions.
A Social Service Coordinator is available for residents’ personal needs. Our residents actively participate in RHF’s Project H.A.N.D.S.

What type of housing is Anaheim Memorial Manor? Is it low-income housing?
Anaheim Memorial Manor is a subsidized housing community for seniors age 62+, and those 18+ with disabilities. The term “subsidized housing” means that the rent is based on income and assets. A resident of the community pays approximately 30% of their income and assets as rent.
Who pays the remainder of the rent?
The remainder of the rent is paid in the form of a subsidy. If a resident qualifies for a subsidy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), a U.S. government agency, will pay the remainder of the rent.
How is rent calculated?
Resident rent is based on approximately 30% of income. A good estimate of your rent would be to take 30% of your gross annual income and divide it by 12 months. This will give you an estimate of what your monthly rent could be.
What does the rent include?
The monthly rent of the apartment includes water & trash collection. A utility allowance of $24.00 (for 1 bedroom) and $19.00 (for a studio) is deducted from the resident’s rent payment every month. The allowance amount is based on average usage for the apartment and may change annually. Residents are responsible for paying their own electric, telephone, cable, internet, laundry, etc. The allowance is intended to help pay for these bills. Residents may still be eligible for energy assistance from the state.
Is there a lease?
Yes, there is a month-to-month lease.
How many apartments are there?
Anaheim Memorial has 18 studio apartments and 56 one-bedroom apartments, for a total of 74.
How big are the apartments?
Anaheim Memorial Manor offers studio units that are 415 square feet, one-bedroom units that are 537 square feet, and 8 handicap accessible units that are 540 square feet.
How do I get started with the move-in process?
When the waiting list becomes open you simply fill out an application and then mail it to the corporate office in Long Beach California.
Is there a waiting list for residency?
Yes, currently Anaheim Memorial Manor has a closed waiting list. We are currently not accepting any applications but you may always call the office for extra information.
What is the Security Deposit?
The Security Deposit is the same as one month’s full rent (plus the utility allowance). This deposit is due in full at the signing of the lease.
Do you allow pets?
Anaheim Memorial Manor welcomes you to bring your pet along with you. There is a pet deposit due at the time of move-in. There is a limit of one animal (cat or dog) per apartment and there are size restrictions.
What is the Pet Deposit?
There is a refundable pet deposit of $150. Payment arrangements can be made for this deposit. Payment arrangements begin with $50 and then a monthly payment of $10 until the deposit is paid in full.
Is there additional storage space available?
There is no additional storage available; however, each style of apartment offers some storage space.
Is there an elevator?
Yes, there are two elevators located in the center of the building, easily accessible by all residents on all floors.
Is parking available?
Yes, Anaheim Memorial Manor offers its residents the use of a parking lot and parking structure.
What is the cost of parking?
There is no cost for parking.
How many keys do I receive?
Residents receive an apartment key, a key to a locked mailbox for their apartment, and an access key to the main entrance of our facility.
Are there any planned activities?
Anaheim Memorial Manor prints a monthly newsletter showing the dates and times of various activities.
Are there on-site laundry facilities?
There is a laundry center on the 2nd floor of our building. This laundry center contains three coin-operated washers and three coin-operated dryers with folding areas and a wash sink for the convenience of our residents.
What is the garbage/recycling process?
There is a trash chute at the end of every hallway for trash disposal. In the trash room, there are also two bins to separate the recyclables (cans & plastic).
Is there any public transportation available?
Yes, currently there are 4 bus stops within walking distance of the facility.
