Central Metro Place

RHF is excited to introduce a new community to Southern California: Central Metro Place, located in the city of Baldwin Park. Currently under construction with a scheduled completion date in early 2026, this community will feature 54 beautiful modern one-bedroom apartments for individuals age 62 and above. This convenient location offers easy access to the Baldwin Park Metrolink, nearby shops and restaurants.

As part of our ongoing effort to ensure residents can age in place, half of the apartments will be accessible for persons with mobility impairments, and a small percentage will be designed for the visually and hearing impaired.

The first floor consists of the mail room, reception office, manager’s office, two elevators, community room with a party kitchen, arts & crafts room, exercise room, common area restrooms, and laundry room. The first floor provides the residents with a central hub of activity and interaction as well as a space to welcome their visitors and wait to be picked up and dropped off by friends and family. The community will also provide residents a place to socialize outside in the courtyard. The community room will be a gathering place for residents to celebrate holidays and special events. The computer room will be available to residents who do not have their own personal computers or wish to use a more updated computer. Outside, at the rear of the property, there will be planter boxes that will be available to the residents to grow vegetables and flowers.

What type of housing is Central Metro Place? Is it low-income housing?

Central Metro Place is an affordable senior housing with LIHTC & Section 202 programs. The community provides income eligible seniors with rental subsidy to reduce the monthly rent paid.

What does the rent include?

Monthly rental of the apartment, as well as hot water, and trash.

Is there a lease?

Yes, there is a one-year lease, but we understand the necessity of unanticipated move-outs.

How many apartments are there?

Central Metro Place has 54 one-bedroom apartments.

How big are the apartments?

Central Metro Place offers one-bedroom apartments, all with accessible features, as well as a few more accessible apartments for the sensory/mobility impaired. All one-bedroom apartments are approximately 540 square feet.

How do I get started with the process?

Simply fill out an application completely, sign it and mail it to the address on the back of the application. Qualifying applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

What is the Security Deposit?

The Security Deposit is the same as one month’s full rent (plus the $81 utility allowance). This deposit is due in full at the signing of the lease.

Do you allow pets?

Yes. Fish and birds are welcome without a deposit. Small dogs and cats are also welcome with a $150 pet deposit. There is a limit of one cat or dog per apartment. Note: Assistance animals are not subject to pet deposits.

Is there any public transportation available?

Yes, the Baldwin Park Metrolink is right across the street from the property.
